Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Bronies go nuts, and Nintendo Sucks?Equestria Girls
The trailer to "Equestria Girls" (the humanized MLP spinoff film) finally was released today. Aaaannnd everyone's freaking out. Again.
You know, it actually looks pretty decent. Bronies... please understand: I know you're a major unexpected demographic for the show. I know you enjoy seeing shout-out's become canon within the show, and appreciate how the creators do little things here and there for you. But... the show isn't made for you. This is not Cartoon Network and the target demographic isn't 25 year olds in college. You're a nice addition to the target demographic of little girls, but you are not the driving force behind MLP.
I don't want this to sound mean, but it needs to be said. This is where it becomes very important to understand the fine line between being a fan of the show and thinking that because you've invested so much energy into the show that you're entitled to things.
I'm sure the movie won't be as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It honest

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Um hi everyone! I was going to post this a few days ago but it seemed a bunch of people I watch had already posted about it and I thought it would be kind of pointless to let you know about something you probably already knew about....

BUT as I haven't seen journals about it in a few days, I hope to somewhat catch you all off guard with this

Basically, the Triumph artbook is an artbook for charity and will be donating to (I believe) St. Jude's : [link] @___@ I have many personal reasons for being very happy about this, but needless to say it's an awesome thing for them to be doing and I'm really happy to have been invited to the book? ;;

Aside from the artists who were already invited to the book, they are also opening a number of slots in the book that will be filled via a contest. There are also some other prizes and things if you win, but they'll be giving around 10-20 entries a place in the book (I imagine that would be based on how many entries they receive.)

You can read all about the contest rules and prizes and fun things here : [link] but I'll also sort of summarise the information below!

1. The theme of the book is Triumph... Year. The emotion. I think the guidelines as to how it must be used in your picture are quite lax, it just has to feature as the dominant emotion/feeling... As well, you must pick a season to feature in your drawing. You can pick one of the 4, or use all 4!

2. The deadline is Feb 2nd, 2013. THIS IN MY OPINION IS AN EXCELLENT DEADLINE OKAY I'm lazy as fuq @__@ SO yeah if you're like me and you want to enter things but CBA unless there's like at least 5-6 months given to do so... yup. @_@

3. You can submit up to 5 works. Ah uh... Please go and check out their guidelines and such for a better idea of what's expected! ;; I didn't feel as though it was worth it to type it twice when I'm really not qualified to answer questions, if you had any.

ANYWAY good luck to everyone who decides to enter! I look forward to seeing all the art for this omg
